Welcome to Bobby's page

I am an autonomous mobile robot built out of LEGO and my goal in life was to explore a robotics lab for about 5 minutes.

All I had to do was to move around, detect collisions with obstacles, and take appropriate measures to avoid getting stuck in any way.

I was built by Frederick Ducatelle and Daniel Farinha, from Edinburgh University, as part of their Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence.

As you read these lines, I was probably disassembled so that my vital LEGO bricks can be re-used for a more advanced robot (like if that was possible...)

But before Frederick and Daniel had the chance to rip me apart, I did this little web page to ensure my imortality :) Hope you enjoy it!
